This summer I spent a few months consulting for the World Bank on their NextGENDERation project to help young people challenge gender stereotypes that lead to violent behaviour.

Spent a lot of time on the phone to countless organisations who try to make a difference; and found quite a few that DO do great work, which led to some interviews I was tasked to write.

These articles being serialised starting in today’s Gleaner with Gloria Meredith from Children of Faith in Montego Bay. Gloria does incredible work, hard work in the second city and surrounding communities; and as disheartening and underfunded as it can get, just doesn’t give up.

If 1/4 of residents can be reached within a community then that can be enough to effect change, she reckons. Wanna help? Email Gloria.
